Natural Resource Roads

Resource roads are a highly valued part of B.C.’s transportation network. They are essential to British Columbia’s economic development, they provide access to back-country recreation, and they help connect communities across the province.

Resource roads are currently administered through a dozen acts and regulations. The goal of the proposed Natural Resource Roads Act (NRRA) is to create a single, streamlined, and modernized approach to management and administration of resource roads in B.C.

The project team is working with affected parties to overcome the policy challenges and support the drafting of the bill and regulations. We are taking the time to ensure unintended consequences are identified and avoided. For further information, please contact us via email at
